Junior Digital Strategist

We’re looking for a bright, talented Junior Digital Strategist who can shape our clients’ future, combining deep customer insight with the understanding of how customer-centricity and technology will impact their business model. We focus on issues related to multichannel service design, competitive agility, operating and business model, as well as the future workforce, to help our clients find future value and growth in a digital world.

At Newt, you will play a key part in helping our clients shape their product and service strategy, underpinned by a focus on customer needs. Using our innovative framework, you’ll demonstrate how customer needs and business benefits build to create a world-class strategy through design thinking.

You’ll need experience of facilitating interactive, collaborative workshops, and will be willing and able to command attention from a crowd. You’ll be familiar with working with senior stakeholders within large companies, helping them discuss and prioritise aspects of their business, and leading them through a series of information capture, selection, debating and prioritisation activities in a business setting.

You’ll be willing to learn, as you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from Newt’s Directors who have a background in executive roles at top-tier agencies and management consultancies. You’ll work with Service Designers, Researchers, Creative Designers and with senior leaders from our clients’ organisations to explore their customers’ needs, clarify their strategic priorities and reach a consensus on what opportunities exist within a ‘to-be’ customer journey. Your work will contribute to creating world-class strategies for a wide range of diverse companies.

The role

  • You’ll work closely with Service Designers and Researchers on client-facing strategy projects
  • You’ll gain wide experience working with large corporates and big SMEs across Newt’s portfolio of clients and sectors
  • You’ll play a key role in a highly collaborative team, working in fast-paced strategy and design environment in central London

Essential skills and qualifications

  • A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • The ability to spot patterns in research and draw together convergent themes to form resilient and compelling strategies for our clients
  • The ability to use spoken and written language to communicate complex things simply
  • The ability to facilitate intensive, client-facing workshops
  • A solid appreciation and grounding in the principles of strategy consulting
  • A good understanding of the principles of Service Design
  • Personable, charismatic and able to keep a group of senior stakeholders focused on-task
  • Proficiency in the usual productivity software, MS Office etc.
